Water Company Had me Pay for Water That I Didn't Use?
Long story short my mom kicked me and my daughter out of our house and turned my house into a party house.. I shut off all utilities and she turned them back on.. and hadnt payed the bills since August of 2009.. I moved back in about a month ago and all my utilities water/gas came to 1,200.. So about 4 days later the water company turns off my water..

I went down to the water company and they stated that since it was my mom ( even after i told them what she had done and when i called them had explained to them the reason for turning off my water in the first place) said that i would have to pay what she owed to them $400 and then pay $100 deposit just to transfer it all back into my name..

I gave them a little over half $260 and they said they wouldn’t turn on anything until they received the full $500. Why am I paying for someone else’s water?? Who should i complain to? After arguing with the guy he called his supervisor so i talked to her and she’s the one that added the deposit fee after i told her i thought what they were making me pay was illegal.
no no no.. she turned them back on in her name.. they wanted me to pay what she owed them charge me $100 to it off in her name and turn it back on in mine.. I think thats fricken weird =|

if she put them in your name when she turned them back on, then unfortunatly u are stuck. The utilities company hears this ALL the time, and they get ripped off. They arent picking on u, its just that people do that stuff all the time. To get your money back u need to sue your mom for fraud in court and have the judge tell her to pay u back.

Campfire Friday: Spirits?
I’ve never seen any actual proof of ghosts, i am a HUUGE skeptic. And i don’t believe in an afterlife (heaven/hell etc).

Now on the opposite and contradictory end of the scale, the other side of me (perhaps the sensitive one) would like to think that it is possible, having a feeling that people who have unfinished business before dying, untold secrets, needing to look over a loved one to make sure they’re ok etc.

Having certain gut feelings about people before they die, people i’d not seen or spoken to in years. Having feelings of dread in places who’s history i know nothing about, then find out after wards various people died there. Feeling like a deceased relative is in the house watching me, getting an evil feeling and having to run out of the house.

I really am a conflicted skeptic. Maybe it’s just something in me that needs to be comforted and nurtured, due to my morbid interest in death, and my utter fear of it.

I’d like to know if any of you are sitting on the fence on the whole spirit/ghost/left behind energy thing. If you’ve had any proof beyond what your heart wants or hopes to see. And anything else you can think of.

Famous R&S'er | Feb 05, 2010

I’m on the fence about ghosts, too.

My cousin, who was 4 maybe 5 years old, was in my Grandmother’s kitchen, she was sitting at the table talking, no one was with her she was just talking. My sister sat down beside her and asked who she was talking to, my cousin answered "Grandpa" and pointed to a picture of my grandfather…. My grandfather died when my dad was 17 o.O
No one has ever told my cousin who the man in that picture was, my grandma had been sick and was in the hospital at the time so we never went into her room.

I don’t know. Over the years I’ve become very skeptical about ghosts, but, I just don’t know.

can you Understand This GIRL's Mind?
We’ve been dating for a couple months now… but not "official" boyfriend/girlfriend status.

She emails me everyday, just cute little notes… and she calls me, jokes around with me.. and we’ve been going out a few times a week.

So tonight I tried to figure out where we stand… and to maybe make us official… and she said she has doubts and has a feeling that it might not be right. She started crying and said we should probably date other people to figure out what we want. I’m graduating in 2 months and she still has a couple semesters left.

Anyway, after the talk… I took her on campus and played the piano for her and sang to her… we laughed and joked around.. and it was just like before she even said anything… good.. fun… loving and stuff.

But when i walked her home she cried again, and said, you always say the things that I’m thinking, it’s amazing.

At her door she told me how much she cares about me and how great I am… and said… I hope you don’t just completely leave me… she cried again… and I gave her a big hug and said you are such an amazing person… she said, you shouldn’t say that, … and then she cried harder and said.. you should be mad at me right now… and i just ran my hand through her hair and said, I’ll never be mad at you. I told her she means so much to me that if she figures things out, I’ll be there for her.. and i went home.

What is she thinking/wanting/trying to say? I’m so lost.

Thank you.

Is it possible she has done something that you do not know about and was feeling unworthy of your or guilty?

I’m sorry but you’re a friend with benefits that she’s stringing along. She likes the attention you give her but she’s just not that into you. Good luck post-graduation!

i’m not sure if she wants to be official with u?! cuz she said she’s not sure if it sounds right and wants to try and date other guys too. i’m not sure if she’s that into u. maybe just takes u as kind of a good friend?! i think she’s thinking about it, don’t know if she actually likes u or not.
ladybug | Feb 04, 2010

You`ll never really fathom women out. And they will cry at the strangest things - and times.

She is obviously uncertain about this friendship with you, yet at the same time showing all the signs that she really likes you.

So how well do you know her, and her background? Maybe there is some reason in her life that is holding her back.

I should just keep going with the flow and see where it leads. It it stalls for too long, just tell her it doesn`t seem to be progressing and that you want it to progress. If she still makes excuses then something is wrong that you don`t know about.
B0uncingMoonman@aol.com | Feb 04, 2010

well she is saying that she would love to be with you but at the same time she is confused. maybe her friends are in her head about being with someone else. maybe her family are in her head telling her to keep her mind on books instead of relationships. maybe she is scared of being in another realtionship because of what her realtionships have been like in the past. or maybe its just someone else from the past that has crept back into her life she still has feelings for. whatever it is you should try to get her to talk or just wait until she is ready to talk…
lata | Feb 04, 2010

This is the problem with you white boys, when you get a girl you act that the girl is the shit and do all this shit for her and when she leaves you, you guys go crazy! You have got a take a few pointers from us black guys. We do not run all over women, instead we just play it cool and in the end the girl always comes to us, not the other way round.
Rochester don | Feb 04, 2010

Yeah I’m guessing that she did something that made her feel unworthy of your love. Ask her what’s wrong, keep up what you’re doing, and whatever you do, don’t get mad at her if it’s bad. By the way you made it sound, she already hates herself enough, and that would make it worse if you acted like an ass.

Hope I helped
B1azingPh03nix | Feb 04, 2010

It sounds to me like she has some things going on in her life right now or she might be scared of getting hurt. She really likes you no doubt about that, just be there for her and don’t push about being in a relationship. From what you said I can tell that she is thinking about some problems she have or something. She wants to be in a relationship, but not now. She is saying I’m not ready for that now. I’m sure it will work out, don’t give up on her. Good Luck!

Who exactly is so concerned about race in America?
I have a manual labor job right now to pay my way through college, and it is extremely integrated white and black. Everybody there is just trying to get through the shift, and we have as much fun as we can. Nobody ever talks or really thinks much about race, it is just really irrelevant. Sure the black and white people act and speak differently amongst themselves, but there really is no self-segregation. My question is, if there are people like this (hard working, decent people) all over the country, (and this is Kentucky, mind you) then who exactly is so concerned about race that we have to see and hear about it everyday? Most people who work hard and then come home don’t really care about, say, Vanity Fair having all whites on the cover <http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/beauty/va nity-fairs-quot-new-hollywood-quot-issue -completely-lacks-diversity-578862/>. Do these race watchdogs not understand that all across the country integration is already present and that blacks and whites are living in harmony? Why do they think so much about race when most people just don’t care? They make it seem like it is a bigger deal than it is, in my opinion.

Why are ALL the racist avatars, questions, and comments generated by the party here that said it wasn’t about race?…Please answer that.

I am not saying all conservatives are racist, but I have yet to see a liberal create a racist avatar.
dstr | Feb 04, 2010

Liberals are always bringing up race as a way to divide.
Look at them, Byrd was in the clan, Reid made racist remarks about Obama when he was running and even Jesse Jackson used negative talk about Obama.
But the libs and the media they control always try to portray Republicans as racist.
They do not pay attention to the actions of their own side.

It’s their collectivist mindset, they place people who are different from themselves into categories an expect that everyone else does the same. Whether they would be black, white, tan, red, yellow, gay, fat, skinny. Children don’t even notice anything about race until their taught it in school or that their different them somebody else.

People play the race card because they are either too fearful, or too ignorant, to accept facts.
John 15:20 | Feb 04, 2010

Dude I’m white and I’m telling you that you are omitting many facets of life here. Most whites and blacks live in segregated neighborhoods, most split in social situations (lunch), minorities are not population representational in upper management, etc (more than worth writing about here). So while yes we have graduated from segregated schools we are still apart in many other aspects of life and have further to go. I’m by no means attacking you, just asking you to look at the bigger picture, as opposed to daily interactions.

look up "a girl like me" on youtube. It talks about this. Hopefully you will.
justin h | Feb 04, 2010

My definition of a racist is someone who judges another by their color or ethnicity. Chris Matthews actually revealed that he was NOT a racist for ONE HOUR during an Obama speech, when he forgot Obama was black ! Then he reverted to his normal prejudice.
Dcntamcn | Feb 04, 2010

Chris Mathews summed it up in his comment about Obama during the State of the Union speech. His comment was that for an hour he forgot that the president was black. Now, Chris is a Democrat and supposedly not concerned about race, so why did he say that? Apparently he has a problem with race all the time except for that hour. Most people other than Democrats do not identify others by skin color or dialect, but by who those people are. The only ones in the news or on line that are constantly pulling the race card are the Obama supporters. So the question is; Who are the real racists in America today?
Dennis | Feb 04, 2010

Democrats…they use race as political capital and self serving racist groups like the NAACP, The Congressional Black Caucus, The New Black Panther Party, and their ilk need to keep hate alive in order to profit from it.

Why do you think that the Democrats bring race into politics when they have racist in their own midst? By convincing people that they are inferior and cant exist without their "white benevolence" they create a monolithic block of voters who are dependent on them for survival thus stealing their chance or desire for "self determination" Without racism ( or the perception of it ) the Democrats "Plantation Party" of victims would lose their constituency. The bottom line is that they dont want us to get along. They need that division for poltical manipulation.

I know where you are coming from when you are saying what you did…… they just need to keep the perception alive in order to manipulate people. In my own life my wife is Mexican American, my best friend is Chinese American and my accountant is an African American lady. The new neighbors across the street from us are a African American family and moved in a week ago….he and the wife came over yesterday and invited us to come watch the Super Bowl at their house. We live in a gated community in southeast georgia…. LOL but if you would hear the Dem’s that could NEVER happen in the south. NOT everyone is hung up about race……but ALL racist are!

Oh, in case anyone wonders about my avatar …my wife’s family gave me that name. Its an inside joke about something that happened when visiting her family in Mexico.

Why do people believe in the old testament?
Ok here is the thing:
How do you believe that a man took 2 of every animal & put them on an ark.
How do you believe that a man would kill his only son for God.
How do you believe that it is an abomination to sleep with the same sex, because some people thought of it as unnatural, but we have now discovered that it is very natural & that it is not a choice, because if it was a choice, than people would marie the opposite sex & have children, but they don’t because they are not sexually attracted to the opposite sex. The same goes for hermaphrodites, they are born with the same genitalia. So who do they have sexual relations with?
How do you believe it is an abomination to eat shell fish or shave or if you divorce that you get stoned to death.
How do you believe fornicating is a sin because through study people have found out that because years ago they didn’t have much knowledge as to today’s world, they thought that if man fornicated he would be killing a child & there fore put to death. That was a jewish thing. & the Jews had very few people & that is why they didn’t want people to fornicate because they would be losing a child. But now in today’s world we know that we ovulate & have lots of seamen.

Here are some more:

DEUTERONOMY 22:13-21
If it is discovered that a bride is not a virgin, the Bible demands that she be executed by stoning immediately.
DEUTERONOMY 22:22
If a married person has sex with someone else’s husband or wife, the Bible commands that both adulterers be stoned to death.
MARK 10:1-12
Divorce is strictly forbidden in both Testaments, as is remarriage of anyone who has been divorced.
LEVITICUS 18:19
The Bible forbids a married couple from having sexual intercourse during a woman’s period. If they disobey, both shall be executed.
MARK 12:18-27
If a man dies childless, his widow is ordered by biblical law to have intercourse with each of his brothers in turn until she bears her deceased husband a male heir.
DEUTERONOMY 25:11-12
If a man gets into a fight with another man and his wife seeks to rescue her husband by grabbing the enemy’s genitals, her hand shall be cut off and no pity shall be shown her.

The story of Sodom is about rape & abuse, not about homosexuality.
Adam & Eve are an example of Gods power of what he has created, thus man & woman. He is not talking about sex. Come on you really need to understand these things. The old testament is so completely wrong, you really would have to be very ignorant & naive to believe it, especially if you haven’t actually studied it for yourself.

So please just tell me why people believe this stuff & why do people believe that a man split the sea in half & led everyone to safety? It’s absolutely preposterous.

Please don’t argue me, I am not here for a confrontation, so please, just your opinion.

So please just your opinion.

P.S. I believe in Jesus Christ’s word & that’s all.

Thanks.

So you do everything that it is said that Jesus said such as "If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off."
We can not take the Old Testament literally. There are few words of Jesus in the New Testament that we can take literally. We read the bible to experience the spiritual truth behind the story.

preposterous, as opposed to flower impregnation, resurrection and rising to heavens, you mean?
All religious books are fairytales with a touch of (the author’s) morality thrown in the mix (yeah, yeah, I get it, all religious books EXCEPT your one, but the same applies for all other religious followers, so…). Trouble is, people who believe these fairytales have to go a very long way from accepting it as a fact to seeing it as an exaggeration to realizing it’s just a metaphor to accepting the moral behind it to choosing those parts of the moral that are still valid today… Kinda like all other fairytales, if you think about it.

Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers
Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004)

IMDB rating: 6.40

Plot: Best buddies Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are small-time janitors with big dreams of becoming Musketeers. Peg-Leg Pete, captain of the Musketeers, points out why they’ll never make it: Donald is a coward, Goofy is a dim-wit, and Mickey is short. But things change when Princess Minnie demands Musketeer bodyguards when assassins, hired by Pete so he can be king, nearly drop a safe on her. Knowing real Musketeers are too-well trained, Pete hires Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, the clumsy janitors as Musketeers and Minnie’s bodyguards.

What is this song's name?
This song is a classical work. It is most used as a signification of love. It builds into a crescendo and is most used to show two people love each other deeply in either a kiss or when they lock eyes. I found part of the crescendo in a song in mickey, donald, and goofy:the three musketeers’ song love, so lovely.
It has been bugging me for a month now. I need it for a project.

The piece is the ‘Love Theme’ from the Fantasy Overture "Romeo and Juliet" by Tchiakovsky. Tchiakovsky revised it three times and it is the 3rd revision that is heard most often and has had ballet choreography added to it.

Hopefully this direct link to the theme will work:

I agree, it has to be Romeo and Juliet- does it rise up in a scale, with strings? This is the "kissing theme" on the Sims and almost every movie/viodeo game/TV show… :) Kalibasa | Mar 05, 2009
